I don't play with this toy anymore, hate to see it not being used.
If yore looking for a project car that’s not a basket case this is for you.
You all know what an LT1 Trans Am is, so I’ll skip the common stuff and go over condition & parts. Car has approximately 89,000 miles on it. Body is in excellent shape, but will need paint work since it’s showing its age now after being outside all the time.
Car does run & drives, but the engine does need a rebuild. Stock bottom end with 400+ passes on it. The carpet does have four small cutouts where a 6 point cage once was. Bolt in, no welding was done.

All I can remember for now. If there’s more I’ll update.
I purchased a few items last summer when I was going to rebuild the engine and bring it back to more of a street car. They’re listed below and go with the car:
LT1 block std bore, been tanked, ready to machine
Set of JE forged .030 flat top ultra light pistons. Pistons are in great shape with one season of short track time.
6” light weight connecting rods. Bought with the pistons above.
NIB Eagle crank, cast

Everything above goes for $4,000. Will NOT part out.
If I had the time I would part out and make more than $4K, LOL!

Car is located in Baton Rouge, LA.

Thanks,
Steve...

bump for a great deal for a car that has so much potential.

Can't beleive anyone isn't interested. Just alittle background on this car. It held the bolt on record for about 2 1/2 years with 11.9s while still weighting about 3400 lbs. When they did the heads/cam it put out over 450 rwhp through a locked converter on a stock bottom end. It also went 11.2s on shake down runs before it dropped a spark plug ceramic..hence the rebuild. This car with a fresh bottom end(which you have almost everything you need) with the lightweight assembly that comes with the car and alittle fine tuning you can have a legitimate 10.80 car for cheap.

Now I'm having to think way back... Last time it ran was at one of the Thunder Racing Southern Shootouts. I'm pretty sure on my second to last run I scaled in at 3408, so I added a few gallons for the next run to be on the safe side.
As for AC, everything for the evaporator side is still in the car and I have the compressor. You'll need a condensor, dryer, & lines under the hood to get the AC back up, but all the interior AC components are still in place.
