I ditched the Moroso gravity kit, and brought a canton F-body kit with the 3 quart tank.

Naturally there is no room to mount this thing in the bay... I don't want to mount it in the bumper, because it's hard to get to. And it be impossible to get to the valves. So what I want to do is mount it in the back seat of the car.

Has anyone on here done this?

The guy at Canton reccomended that I just intall the valves within 4 feet of the engine... but the accusump can be mounted anywhere.

Make sure ya use braided line or a GOOD grade of hose.
It won't fit in front of the rad going across the car? Get the electric controls and valve to make it work without having to touch it.

Mine is mounted under the hood but it's attached to a roll cage tube. It has a manual valve but it's left on all the time. I use an electric valve to control the flow.

Oval track racers just use a manual valve and leave it on all the time. When the engine is turned off, the extra oil just goes back into the pan. Once the engine is started, the accumulator will fill back up. You just can't use it as a pre primer doing it this way. Using the electric valve, I can dump the 3 quarts into the oil galleries before cranking the engine over.

Technically you can mount it anywhere and in any position but the lines from the engine to the accumulator should be as short as possible.

IMO it should be set up to prelube engine on start, emergency oil while running and when shut off be full of oil for the next start.
