F/S: Custom fabricated Mufflex Y pipe and Flowmaster cat back.

I decided I dont want it. I am just going to run 2 short pipes and possibly a small 4x9 muffler on the new set up. So my current setup is now available:

Custom made Mufflex Y pipe. I had it built by them on my car to my Hooker LT's. They also installed a 4" to 3" reducer so it can be used with either a 3" or 4" cat back. Great ground clearance with this pipe. It huggs the floor nice and tight. $150 pick it up. Or if I happen to be working in you neck of the woods one day I will arrange a meeting.

The catback is a Flowmaster American Thunder system. Also has a 3" cutout installed right under the passenger rear seat. The I pipe was cut once and has been put back together with a band clamp. The rear pipes are a bit rusty. They have been on my car for years, but they will clean up with some steel wool. The tips are 3.5" slah cut and are probably 14" long. All the pipes have been tack welded and band clamped. No pics of the exhaust yet. I will take some if you want them. $50 pick it up.

I might take that y-pipe off ya. I managed to get one for $30 but for some reason I dont think its gonna fit. Where does that bracket you have on there hook up to? Do you have a bracket made on the car or is it something stock?

Ill find out if I need it sometime this week.. im waiting to get my car back from the shop and then ill see if it bolts up and ill get back to ya.

Question: Are the hooker headers equal in length, by that I mean if you laid a yard stick across would it be flush or does one go further towards the back of the car then the other

Well, The headers are "equal length" refering to the primaries but I dont think they are the same left to right. Remember that one side of the engine has the pistons set back behind the other side. Therefore the headers will sit in different places. I'm not 100% sre but I believe if you are talking about the relationship of the flanges to the car than i think one does sit back a bit. I would have to go look but I dont think Hooker has changed the desgin of their header for many years. I think one side is offset a bit behind the other. Each header is "equal length" but they are not mounted to the motor in the same place from left to right. I'll go double check tonight and let you know.

The bracket is a hanger. The stock exhaust has a hanger there on a dual cat setup. Your car may not sice it was originally a single cat car. You can just take the clip off and run it.

If you notice the left side has a bit of a dip in it right as it leaves the header flange. That kept it nice and tight to the floor and maintained ground clearance while still being able to clear the trans crossmember.

BTW, the pipe used to look much nicer. I once painted it with high temp aluminum paint and it looked killer. Just wore off. The entire exhaust system was painted the same way.

Im gonna see if that y-pipe fits.. probably today or tomorrow. I still dont have my car back.

I looked at them on the car and it looks like the passenger header flange does sit back just a bit. This would be the difference in piston placement in the engine.
