maro z28 04-21-2007, 02:14 AM With 415rwhp N/A on a 383 LT1(mods in sig minus stroker, 12-bolt, blower cam), how much rwhp gain will I see from 12psi from a D1SC?
A couple of threads above shows 150rwhp gain on a stock LS1 with 8psi on a P1SC! My ride is MUCH faster than a stock LS1. So, why can I or can I not see this much rwhp gain? Does it have to do with the engine's capacity for air and your ability to deliver enough fuel or something?

first of all you will need at least 75lbs injectors and a good fuel system something like a a1000 aeromotive pump.
At 12 psi you should see about 200rwhp gain if not more i picked up 100rwhp going from 14psi to 18psi. IF its high compression i wouldnt run any more then 12psi and probably run at least 104 octane
maro z28 04-21-2007, 04:28 PM I'm gonna get the build for lower compression, so I can run pump gas. I'll probably do meth injection, too. I was gonna stay with my Racetronix fuel system + bap for up to 10-12psi. I just want to know roughly what I could expect as far as power gains.

dyno it on low compression, but on 12 psi if its tuned right you should see 250rwhp gain with no issues.
maro z28 04-21-2007, 08:12 PM 650rwhp would be wild...for me at least.

you would be close since you lowering the compression you will loose power on motor, so you wont be 400rwhp anymore. but i think it should be mid 600 numbers
CALL911 04-23-2007, 12:19 PM You are pretty much the same boat I was. N/A my 383 LT1 made 420 RWHP. I rebuilt the motor for the blower, and put a D1SC running 15#'s of boost, and I saw 590 RWHP on a Mustang dyno on a hot day. This year I am adding the methanol injection setup, and will be getting a new tune. I have been told I should see a solid 650 RWHP.
Here's a video I put together right before I yanked the motor while I was still N/A.

And here's a video of my car on the dyno after the motor was rebuilt for the boost, and my blower was installed just to give you an idea of what it is like before and after.

T/A KID 04-23-2007, 02:38 PM Call911 you did 590 on a Mustang Dyno MAN, thats like 630 alone on a Dynojet (Quit Saying 590, lol) and get rid of that crappy ATI induction and get a good induction system on that thing, lol
CALL911 04-23-2007, 03:48 PM Well, it will be re-dyno'd this year on a dynojet, with a different inlet tube, and a methanol injection setup, so it should do well, and I am hoping for around 650 at the wheels. It may do more, and that would be fine :)
LittleRedZ 04-23-2007, 06:50 PM was that dynoed at flowers in MD by anychance?

I can't remember the exact place it was tuned. But it was in MD, and the tuner/owner of the shops name is Jeff.
HardcoreRM125 04-25-2007, 12:02 AM Call 911, what kind of fuel system are you running for that thing?
CALL911 04-25-2007, 09:43 AM I am running a dual Walbro in tank setup with a HOBBS switch that kicks in the second pump when the cars sees 4#'s of boost or more. Stock fuel lines, into 60# Mototron injectors.
T/A KID 04-25-2007, 12:22 PM Speaking of Fuel is anyone running a Boost regulated Fuel pressure regulator or the stock piece???
ZBLKHELLRZR 04-25-2007, 01:07 PM Boost regulated by Fuelab.
CALL911 04-25-2007, 01:32 PM I am running an adjustable Accel fuel pressure regulator in mine.
HardcoreRM125 04-25-2007, 01:47 PM At what point do you need the double-pump set up versus using a single in-tank and a KB Boost A Pump, or some inline set up?

Stock piece here
CALL911 04-25-2007, 05:55 PM At what point do you need the double-pump set up versus using a single in-tank and a KB Boost A Pump, or some inline set up?
Anything over 400 RWHP, and you should look into doing something more than just a single pump. ATI makes a booster pump that piggybacks on your single pump that is made specifically for supercharged setups. If you are interested I have a brand new one still in the bag I will sell for $100.
HardcoreRM125 04-25-2007, 08:47 PM I got one of them ;) Came with my D1SC that is waiting to go on until next year when I graduate, and have the money for a "real" rebuild, and then drivetrain problems as they ( And they will ) come up.
I was just hoping that if I do a Racetronics single-pump in tank now, I wont have to drop the tank again later ( Cause it sucks getting our tanks out ) when I build a boosted and sprayed 383/396. I was hoping that, with some kind of inline, and a KB BAP, or something like that, would support 550-600 RWHP. I am shooting for that kinda power, on a D1SC LTt. And then possibly still using my N20 kit as some sort of stand alone, fuel cell and seperate pump, for just when I am on the spray for a small ( 100 ) shot or something. Basically, I want to make a nasty street car thats stroked, blown, and sprayed
CALL911 04-26-2007, 10:22 AM You don't have to "drop" the fuel tank to have access to it. There is a huge write up at the top of the forced induction section. It has detailed pics of several guys (including myself) who got to their fuel pumps from in the car.
The ATI booster pump will support the power levels you are looking for. If you are planning on much more than 500 RWHP, I would reccomend getting a second 255 pump though, as that seems to be what most are doing.

good deal that was PSI, GrannySShifting
