Hello,
I have a 1993 camaro 6 speed all stock w/ait p1sc 8psi 2 core kit on it. I am building motor 355 forged 8.9 compression trick flow heads blower cam. I want to make around 475 to 500 hp at tires. Turning 6000 to 6300 rpm and 10-11psi. I want to know if someone can tell me to use the egr. Right now i am not using a fmu and running an 2 bar map sensor. I want to go back to a bar system w/mad z28 tunning run close to stock timing and have an fmu so i can tune with a wideband to dial in air fuel ratio. I have 42lbs injectors and i live in iowa kinda hard to find a chassis dyno around here and find someone to burn chips. What do you guys think of running close to stock timing with only 10 psi and 8.9 compression and egr with or without air pump is currently not there.

We went very conservative on the timing of my car. I'm not 100% but it was in the neighborhood of 26 degrees-again it seems kinda low but I'm not 100%.It was a smog legal CA car all emissions intact, exhaust manifolds and gutted cats. At 15lbs of boost it made 498 to the wheels on a 8.5CR motor. Hope that helps. EGR really doesn't hurt anything. Some may say it adds heat and it might but this was in CA so ......

ive still got my egr and cat. I figure with as much gas as I burn, I oughta do my part to keeping the air as clean as possible. when im making 597 rwhp, when I could be making 600 rwhp, it doesnt really make a difference to me

97 Lt1 383 w/ ATI D1. Still running AIR and EGR and random dual cats. I see no problems with power drop. I had to add a 3 1/2" cutout on my exhaust to relieve back pressure. I don't know why but I have all of the emission system still in operation.
