a scanner question

i got an obd2 scanner and a 95'z with the 16 bit connector but it needs the obd1 is there neway i can use the obd2

If I'm not mistaken the '95 is OBDI with the OBDII port - so you need an OBDI scanner with a cable that'll connect to your 16 pin (OBDII) port. If you have an OBDI scanner you can jumper the pins to make it work on the OBDII port, but not vice versa. Am I making sense?

Some OBD-I scanners will come with an adapter to connect the 12-pin scanner connector to the 1995 16-pin connector. If you don't have an adapter, use jumpers as shown in Shoebox's link:
