Removing Over-Spray!?!?

i alreay put this post up in the cleaning and waxing section, but i was hoping i would get a little more help in here.

my friend just had the front nose of his Z repainted, because of all the bugs and rock chips. Well its a great paint job, except there is over spray. Right in the front grill, under the fog lights there is spots of red. Is there anything we can use to take these spots off without hurting anything?? if anyone has any ideas please let me know. thanks.

Was it clear coated as well, or is it just the red color?

If it was just a red repaint, you might be able to buff out the overspray by hand with polishing compound or rubbing compound.

(The rubbing compund being harsher, i.e. more gritty) Try it in an inconspicuous spot first.

If it was clear coated, then wet sanding may be your only choice.

Clay Magic, or a Clay Bar. That's what they use at the shop my brother works at. It removes overspray very nicely. But use plenty of detail spray with it. Should take it right off, if it doesn't then it's time for a wetsand, or I'd just take it to the shop and tell them that they need to remove it.
