I can not fit my lt's headers in. I dont know. i removed the starter and alt and exhaust shield. The egr is hitting. also how do you disconnect the steering linkage? Please help.

If that is the case, remove the passenger side valve cover and that should give you just enough clearance to snake that header in thru the top. As for the steering linkage, its a matter of removing the bolt and pulling it up and off. slicknick54 04-10-2007, 05:49 PM which bolt the one when i look straight down at, not in the closed case further down Do i knock it off the bar then pattracing212 04-10-2007, 06:04 PM honestly, i did it a different way that worked too. there are a number of ways to do it. i loosened up the motor mounts one side at a time and tilted the engine to fit the headers in. it was easy but i have never tried the other ways. 2000GTP 04-10-2007, 06:06 PM Sorry, I should have pluraled that.
