Long tubes banging

I installed my Pacesetters, ORY and poly mounts recently. The problem is that under almost any accerleration, from a stop with anymore than half throttle or flooring it from a roll there is a nasty sound coming from under the car. It almost sounds like my driveshaft is rubbing against something. I checked where the y-pipe comes close to the brace on the drivers side and there appears to be no rubbing. There's nothing touching my driveshaft, torque arm or anywhere else. The header collectors clear, and the pipes clear the K member.

Anyone else have this problem even with the poly mounts? How did you fix it?

I had problems with the torque arm hitting the y-pipe under load. That could be a possiblity. I wrapped that particular part of the pipe with some header wrap in order to dull the banging. After I switched to a crossmember mounted torque arm, the problem was fixed for good.

It does feel like it's in the driveline and I checked the torque arm and didn't see any marks but I'll look closer tonight. I just went to lunch and I can't give it any gas without it making that grinding noise.

The u-clamp bolts aren't catching on anything are they? If it is making a constant grinding noise, I'm sure you are going to find some wear patterns somewhere.

I'm using the band clamps and the bolts are all facing down. I checked those last night, too. I am going to really look at the TA to make sure it's not the problem because of the way it feels when it's grinding. I know it's only clearing the y-pipe by like 3/4 of an inch so we'll see....

It was hitting that brace on the drivers side and the torque arm. All good now.
