Got a pair of Carsound High Flows, 2.5 in/outlets, going to cat my off road Y, I have Hooker LTs, getting harder to find people willing to pass the car and the only thing it lacks is cats. So going to do a pair to get it to pass the sniffer, how much power will my bolt on set up loose?

You may lose a few horse, but nothing major. My main concern would be the size of the cats as the off-road y-pipe is 3" in diameter and your cats are 2.5"

Yea, I always thought they were 3, then I measured them yesterday, I bought these things 4 years ago and they have been sitting since

Also, you may have an issue in wedging a larger sized cat onto the drivers side of the off-road y-pipe due to lack of space from the brake/fuel lines and the torque arm mount. A Pypes mini-cat will easily clear that space though. I have a pair of 3" mini-cats in my off-road y-pipe.

They are the mini cat design, believe they are Carsound, ay or may not be, they are mini and 2.5 in/outlets, I hope that wont kill power :(

I can't remember the overall dimensions of my cats. But in your case, your probably going to have reducers in your y-pipe in order to get those size cats to work, which will cause a restriction and hurt your power some.

Yeah, I paid 130 bucks shipped for a pair of Pypes 3" mini-cats from them directly. I bet if you sold your Carsound cats, you could recoup a good amount of money and use that to buy the correct size cats.

New Carsounds can be bought for under $60/each on ebay. Mini also usually means less flow. The larger cats flow better.
