Hmmmm, doesn't this kind of fly in the face of what we've been hearing here on this forum? ..... are we sure this isn't an April Fool's Day kind of story? I thought work on a GTO replacement was like, non-existant at this point in time, so to imply the car will follow Camaro to market so soon is ludicrous, isn't it?

I'd love to hear z284ever's thoughts on this one.... for sure.

 

They said it came straight from Lutz's mouth. I guess we'll have to wait for further info.

I'm a little skeptical since they didn't have any direct quotes from Lutz. It could have been taken out of context. I'm not doubting that a GTO or MC is being worked on, but I think we'd hear more about it then just a blurb like this.

 

Hey I hear what Guy's been saying all along on this and his insights are not to be easily dismissed, but z284ever has been pretty vocal and adamant about the GTO not showing up anywhere, anytime soon.

I thought Mooney has said not too long ago that Holden would like to have a new Monaro but no new design is currently being worked on - given the joined at the hip connection between GTO and Monaro, it doesn't appear that one would happen and not the other.

Personally I hope a new GTO arrives sooner than later, but this story seems to imply a pretty short gap between Camaro and any other new coupes whether they're called GTO, Monte or whatever.
