I am installing a racetroniX fuel pump kit. When I took the fuel sending unit out, I could see small particals floating in the fuel tank. Can I dump out this gas in a container, clean the inside with a waterhose, let it dry and put new gas in it? I dont want this pump to get trash in it. I read that will kill them faster than anything.

Thanks,
Steve

Its is highly recommended by Racetronix that you clean the fuel tank prior to installing the pump as it is prone to sucking up the old sediment and then premature failure.

Yeah I know that, I just need to know what is the most common way to clean it?

Hose it out and make sure it is completely dry afterwards.
