on my MSD ignition, i have a 6K RPM limiter "insert", for lack of a better word. this was fine before, but this weekend, i'll probably be finishing up my LE2 setup, which will need to spin higher than that. what's the deal with those inserts? can i just remove it and not have one, and know that my tune knows my limit, or do i need to get a different insert (i.e. 7K)
thanks!

well, i answered my own question. i talked to msd today and they said i can just pull it out and not have one in there as long as my rev limit is controlled by the tune.
thanks anyway....it's been nice talking to myself :)

Be careful though, the factory rev limiter is a fuel cut whereas the MSD is a spark cut. The spark cut is much easier on the engine so look into getting some new MSD pills or one of their adjustable controllers.

The plug modules or "pills" are simply resistors. You should be able to find a list online of the resistance that corresponds to the RPM limit you want. Go to Radio Shack and buy the correct resistor.
