My heater core just started leaking the other day. For now im just going to disconnect it and tie the in/out lines together. When i disconnect the lines...am i going to have alot of antifreeze start pouring out? Just wanna know so i can prepare for a mess :p

If your heater core is leaking there shouldn't be much coolant left in it. There may be some in the hoses, but at most only a few cups.

I'd suggest draining and fllushing your system anyway. Your leaky core might be the results of bad anti freeze and leaving it in there might prove harmful to the radiator too. JMHO:cool:

I actually had it flushed in the fall before i put it away for the winter...so i was really surprised that it would go out in the spring like this....maybe the extra pressure from the flushing made a weak area in the core finally give??

Most likely....plus the coolant that was in there before i got it flushed looked like diarrhea...im sure that didn't help anything.
