Hard to start after Walbro pump install

I put a Walbro pump in my car about a week ago, and now after it has been sitting for a while, it is hard to start up. It didnt do this until I put the new pump in, anybody got any ideas?

Might want to put a fuel pressure gauge on it and confirm it is fuel related. It is possible that a botched install could lead to fuel delivery issues.

loss of pressure might mean the check valve

when i did my install i did the clamp to tight (the one that connects the rubber feed line to teh sending unit) and it screwed up the check valve, so i sent it back and got a new one (it might have been faulty but i blamed it on myself lol)
mine is a granatelli but they are very similar

I dont remember seeing a clamp there.

don't know how those pumps are made but i work on acura's and there pumps have internal check valves when that starting issue comes in we replace the pump and that fixes it

Yeah, it is a brand new pump.

Did you use the plastic line or replace it with rubber?

I used the supplied plastic line. The car didnt do it today. :confused:
