It is possible that a botched install could lead to fuel delivery issues. 69gto96z 03-26-2007, 06:55 PM I put a gauge on it, after the car sits for about 20 minutes the gauge starts to drop. What do you mean botched install? CamaroSS30thAnn 03-26-2007, 07:01 PM I put a gauge on it, after the car sits for about 20 minutes the gauge starts to drop. What do you mean botched install? loss of pressure might mean the check valve when i did my install i did the clamp to tight (the one that connects the rubber feed line to teh sending unit) and it screwed up the check valve, so i sent it back and got a new one (it might have been faulty but i blamed it on myself lol) mine is a granatelli but they are very similar may not be ur problem but just some insite on what could happen 69gto96z 03-26-2007, 07:32 PM loss of pressure might mean the check valve when i did my install i did the clamp to tight (the one that connects the rubber feed line to teh sending unit) and it screwed up the check valve, so i sent it back and got a new one (it might have been faulty but i blamed it on myself lol) mine is a granatelli but they are very similar may not be ur problem but just some insite on what could happen I dont remember seeing a clamp there. chevynutman 03-26-2007, 09:33 PM don't know how those pumps are made but i work on acura's and there pumps have internal check valves when that starting issue comes in we replace the pump and that fixes it 69gto96z 03-26-2007, 09:52 PM Yeah, it is a brand new pump. unforgiven 03-27-2007, 04:22 AM Did you use the plastic line or replace it with rubber? 69gto96z 03-27-2007, 03:12 PM I used the supplied plastic line. The car didnt do it today. | ||
