2002 Camaro SS Convertible, under 22K miles.
STS Turbocharger, intercooler, injectors, underframes, Bilsteins.

1 of only 86 '02 SS verts in NBM; very hard to find, took me 6 months.

Won award at 1st car show entered.

I have babied this car shamelessly, never even done a burnout, changed all fluids to synthetics when I bought it two years ago, 3 Mobil-1 oil changes since in only 5K Miles.

I type this with sorrow as I love this car and had intended to keep it forever.
I would never sell except I find myself in unexpected acute need of money.

I have over $35K into it.

I'm going to start out asking $24,900 .

The NADA high retail value, which this car certainly qualifies for, is $25,600.

http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=7923-21-1-5013-0-0-0&l=7923&w=21&p=1&f=5014&y=2002&m=1035&d=1937&c=21&vi=66751&da=-1&nx=1

And that's without the $6,000 turbo system.

The car looks nice, but you will get many more responses if you get some new pics of the dash & interior after doing the !dirt mod... It's nearly free! :D

I'll be happy to provide as many pictures as anyone wants. The car is in my garage and I have a camera, what do you want to see?
Not sure what the !dirt mod is?
For some reason I can't seem to get pictures to post on here, says I'm not allowed. ?? I can email them or of someone can tell me how to get them on here I'll do that.
Thanks
P.S. My car is way prettier than red with white stripes :)
P.P.S. I'll negotiate some on the price but I'm not going to 19K I'll mortgage the house first.

Kelly Blue Book thinks the retail value is $24K:

http://www.kbb.com/KBB/UsedCars/PricingReport.aspx?VehicleClass=UsedCar&ManufacturerId=9&YearId=2002&WebCategoryId=40&VehicleId=My8yOS8yMDA3fDM1MjE%3d&PriceType=Retail&ModelId=368&Mileage=22000&SelectionHistory=3521%7c3170%7c84075%7c0%7c0%7c135 175%7ctrue%7c135250%7ctrue%7c135260%7ctrue%7c13529 2%7ctrue%7c135336%7ctrue&Condition=Excellent

My asking price is in the ballpark, and I will negotiate some.

Now, how do I get pictures in these posts?

He is saying the car is dirty, and you might get more responses if the pics were of the car when clean. There is indeed a lot of visible dust on top of the dash!

The "!" basically means "no" or "not", implying that something is removed in the case of mods. So someone might say !CAGS or !AIR, meaning they have removed/disabled the skip shift and AIR systems on the car. He was teasing saying you need to do the !dirt mod (i.e. wash the car).

:)

As for pics, you should be able to do the insert url with the actual web address for the pic.

Very nice car, btw. Get some shots of it clean!

I hadn't noticed the dust, but it does look pretty dusty in that picture, I'll get some others tonight. (I paid my 16 year old son to wash the car, obviously he forgot the dash.)
What if the pictures are just on my hard drive? Do I need to find a web host for them for "[img]insert url[img]" to work?

Thanks kiztope for putting those up.

The steering column has been dusted and Armor-alled.

I've had a couple of contacts already including one from a dealer. It's given me mixed feelings. But I've got two kids getting married (one daughter, one son) and this is the best way I can see to get the money.

Can you give more details?

What level STS system? How long has it been on the car? Where are you located? Driven in snow/salt? Stored winters?

Scratch that, from the pics it looks like you are in Utah. That should take care of the location question. :o

Definitely a nice car. I'm mildly interested. That is to say, I love the car, but I'm getting married in 4 weeks (!), so I probably won't be looking more seriously until sometime after that. Even then, I'm kinda up in the air as to what I want to get next.

But it would still probably be good info to include in the thread. :)

The STS has been on the car approx. 1 year. 7 lbs of boost. Fairly low, but they tell me that much more would require engine mods, which I did not want to do. It's enough for me as it is.

I bought it from California dealer in Jan. '05. I was able to contact the original owner who is a middle-aged guy who says he just got tired of a convertible.

It has never spent a night out of doors, and never been driven in rain or snow since I've had it. It mostly just sits in the garage in the winters.

Congratulations on the wedding; this would make a great wedding present for your beautiful bride! Think how great she'd look with the top down, the wind blowing her hair...

Actually I've got a windstop for it which goes over the back seats and directs the air over the top and off the back and keeps it from swirling around and making your lady's hair blow in her face. Also keeps warmth in the car so it can be comfortably driven earlier in the spring and later in the fall with the top down. Very nice and comfortable, my wife loves it.

This car is now listed with onestopmotors (http://www.onestopmotors.com/ad_details.aspx?ad_id=17352), which can arrange financing and shipping.

I had it on a dyno this week; later I found out the machine was malfunctioning and reading low, but even so the car put down 436 rwhp and 472 ft./lb torque.

For whoever's interested, this car has sold.
It went for $23,900.
