Well, I am hooked. Went from a blower, to spray, and wont be going back for some time.
Ran today in some pretty decent weather. Track hooked ok early in the day, then the $%&* ricers started pulling water up to the starting line. First pass on motor I pulled a 1.68 60ft, and ran a 12.2@111 on motor. Ran another motor pass but spun the ET Streets. Then it was time for the spray. First spray run with a NOS 150 shot out of the hole ended up with mucho wheel spin getting me a 1.85 60' and a 11.7@117. I let the car cool down, plugged up datamaster, and went for round 2. This time I launched pretty well, then sprayed it about 20ft after the start, I was STOKED when I got my timeslip. A 11.2@120 with a 1.65 60'!! :D Then I went to look at the datamaster log. :( Im not sure if the o2s are just DEAD, or if it was really running that lean, but the o2s fluctuated between .850 and .450. :eek Im hoping the o2s are just dead.
And for the info. The car is a 95 Formula. 355, stock compression(I think), a Comp XE 230/236 on a 110lsa, ported heads(by LG I think), 1.6 rr's, Hooker LT's, custom 3in y-pipe, 3in flowmaster act back with cutout, stock TB, a Suncoast ram air box. Has stock injectors, stock intank pump(I think) with a inline pump from a Powerdyne kit with stock injectors and a AFPR. A bastardized NX kit, with NX solinoids, a NOS Annular nozzle, and a NOS 15lb bottle. Car has a TH400 with a 3500 stall, and has a 9in with 3.70s out back of it. Suspension consists of Hochkis LCA's, PHR, and a Spohn Tq arm and 26-10.5-16 ET Streets.
Im hoping with a bigger tire (28in) and some spray off the line to lower the 60ft times, I can get a 10.something out of it. Not bad for a 3000 dollar car eh? ;)
