traction

i want to completely re-do all my rear suspension. what do you guys recommend as far as parts and brands

Are you looking for a mainly drag strip setup or something that can carve corners? If looking for a strip setup, then I would consider rear lower control arms and lca relocation brackets for starters as they are cheaper mods and do a good job in the traction department. Some other things to consider would be an adjustable torque arm and adjustable shocks/struts, these will run you more in the money department though. Subframe connectors would also be a good mod to stiffen up the chassis. Finally, tires, tires, tires. No matter how many suspension mods you do, your car still won't hook unless you have a good set of tires out back to grip the pavement.

thanks for the info....i know i ask all sorts of questions about what next, but i just don't want to spend all that money right now and not gain much. with the 900 i would spend i could probably get lca's, relocation brackets, and drag radials. another quick question though. what do you guys think as far as drag radials. the only people i know that go to the strip use nitto 555's. they seem like a good price too. are they worth it...if not which ones are good traction and good life on the tread.

In order in terms of traction I would put Mickey Thompson first, BFGs next, and the Nittos last. The Nittos will probably offer the longest life span though.

I used to run the BFG's....they hooked good but they don't last very long

The Nittos would probably be your best bet, but keep in mind a drag radial is not going to have nearly the lifespan that a street tire would. Especially if you frequent the track and the burnout box.:)

When I was driving my car on the street I was running fri. sat. and sun. and they would last me maybe a month over 100 passes and I was going rounds every week also.....I think they work good and have descent life, The nitto's IMO are crap
