rim and tire fitment questionnick3 03-10-2007, 07:04 PM i just ordered a set (4) of chrome 18x9.5 zo6 rims with a 57mm offset. my 95 z28 has been droped about 1.75 inches. would i still be safe to run 275-40-18 tires or should i go with 275-35-18? and could i go with even a 285 or so on a 9.5 with the drop? thanks for the help in advance Zack 03-10-2007, 10:08 PM 35's nick3 03-11-2007, 09:07 AM 35's how much is your trans dropped? it looks sweet by the way. those rims/tires fit perfect. It will be coded into the build code tag, and should be shown in the computer printed tire info sticker on the driver's side door. The base V8 cars got 235/55-16's (26.18"). But if your car left the factory with the Z-rated tire options, which many 4th Gens did, it had 245/50-16's (25.65"). The WS6 and SS's came with 275/40-17's (25.66") nick3 03-12-2007, 02:12 PM i didnt look on the door, i just looked at the tires that are on there now (235/55-16). the 40 tires will work on there. its only about a 1/4 inch all the way around more then stock.(about a 1/2 total.) i just think the 35s would look better, but a little rougher ride. i would like to a least make it over a speed bump. i will probably go with the 35s and use spacers if i need them. thanks a lot | ||
