how good of a daily driver combo would a ZL402 shortblock with gm LS7 heads, fast 90/90, and a mild cam? I havent nailed down a good cam yet. What kind of power are we looking at here? Does this sound like a good way to go to get good power and drivability? Thanks.

FAST manifold will not work with the LS7 heads.

The LS7 and L92 are basically the same deal. Also, the FAST won't work. You'll need the LS7 or L76 intake manifold.

The best budget build that will make over 500rwhp will be the L92 heads and L76 intake manifold with that 402. The L92 heads have huge runners, so I don't know how well a smaller cam would work.

well im not stuck on a small cam, i just need to find one that wont lose my bottom end and make it impossible to drive in traffic. How is your 408? Im not even dead set on putting this in an fbody because i havent found a roller yet. I do have an 03 z71 though....

The 408 is ****in nasty. Drove 100 miles to roadrace it today, then drove 100 miles back home. No problem.
