Sumitomo HTR Z II tires on Z06 wheels

So I just bought a set of these wheels and then threw on these Sumitomo tires.

I havent really found anyone that has written anything in detail about these tires so if anyone here has, please do tell..


I will be hitting the autoX next month after they are scuffed in good. Hopefully I will see a reduction in times as I also am on meatier tires. Not entirely sold on running wider tires.. For me, I believe in running the tire you can get away with.. so 245's were great..

I had them on my z06 wheels as well... I wasn't very fond of them...... for a summer tire, they suck

well.. so far, they need to be rebalanced.. They static balanced them and its not good enough..

also, when spun, they squeal loudly.. quite girly sounding.. the Yokohama AVS ES 100s I had before were quiet..

I had these on the front of my Z when I had the 17s and had no complaints, but I did not put many miles on them.

I put them on my stang and have put about 10k miles on them. At first they were fine, but now they sound like I am driving a 4x4 truck with mud tires! Lots of reviewers on tirerack complain about the same though.

I was able to cut a 1.9 60' on them in my mustang though. Not too bad for a little 245/40/18.
