those with ADJ torque arms..I need some help

OK, i installed my BMR adjustable torque arm today and I didnt get any directions with it...none needed really for the install....but!

the car is up and jack stands suspended on the body and the rear is hanging down and the fronts are hanging also.....do I have to adjust the pinion while the suspension is loaded? or can I do it the way it sits now? if it does have to be loaded how do I do that and still be able to crawl under the car? Load the rear under the axle and have the fronts sitting on the ground?

also where do I put the pinion indicator? and whats the best setting for a car with almost an inch drop?

The suspension needs to be loaded for pinion angle adjustment. No need to worry about the front suspesnion as it doesn't affect pinion angle. As you stated, supporting the rear via jack stands under the axle will simulate load. do a search for pinion angle.... the instrucion's listed on the bmr website aren't that accurate. You should measure your transmission angle, not your driveshaft angle. you do this by putting your angle finder on the face of your seal on the output shaft and subtract 90*. By using the angle on the driveshaft, you are not taking this into the equation. My trans. was at a -2* angle, so if I would have went off of the driveshaft, my pinion angle would have been off by 2*.

You need the suspension under a load.. preferabbly on a lift or hard ground. You also need to take a measurement of the angle of the ground that the car is sitting on... it could not be level, and will throw off your readings. I didn't have to worry about that, because I did mine on a lift..
