Buying O.E. Black Z06 Motorsport 17x9.5 wheelsplusandrew 03-05-2007, 09:50 PM Im currently on the stock 16" wheels, no body kit, nothing has been lowered. Exactly what I would run. One of the benefits of stepping up to the larger rim is the ability to use a wider tire, take advantage of it.:) z95lt1 03-06-2007, 09:49 PM ok a 245/50/16 is 25.66 inch tall. a 275/40/17 is the same over all height as the 245/50/16 so it will not miss with your speedo, go with the 275/40/17 but if you are looking for more side wall do a 285/40/17 which is 26 inches tall. danhr 03-06-2007, 09:51 PM I didn't even realize there was a 4 in the 245 in the first post... yeah def. no 245.... god no.. it would look horrible, you would get lots of curb rash... 275 atleast... on all fours.... with a 45 series.... 40 is just too low, unless you plan on lowering it ALOT. You could step it up and put 285's on the rims, but if you do that you would either a) run 285's in the back and 275's in the front, and lose the ability to rotate your tires or b) you would run 285's all the way around... but that's oging to be a REALLY responsive front end...
