prodrive sells its f1 franchise to ron dennis, who owns mclaren. and has built his new mclaren f1 facility to prepare and run four cars, not two.

dave richards then uses the profits to buy aston. it's a hot rumour and makes sense in a lot of ways.

richards bought one of the first vanquishes, and was involved in one of the early consortiums that tried to buy aston.
