Is the new Astra built on the delta chassis?
Any rumour that the Cobalt is leaving Lordstown?
What are your thoughts on the 2.0 S/C and why the G5 does not get it?
Is the 2.0 S/C made in the USA now? (I know it was made in Germany at first for sure)

No it is an updated T-body, old Astra chassis.

I doubt it. The plant has been churning out J-bodies and now Deltas with good quality and the Cobalt is now making a profit whereas the Cavalier didn't.

The SC Ecotec is soon to be replaced by the 2.0 DI Turbo so no worries from me about that. It makes the Cobalt SS a little more special.

Rumors are that both are coming. But neither has to do with Delta.

The original post in this thread was about Delta & the Cobalt. I assumed the question about Kappa also involved Delta.

No it is an updated T-body, old Astra chassis. Are you sure about that? It looks very delta-based to me, especially in the interior (same basic guage cluster/positioning as the Cobalt, similar shape/positioning of the center stack, etc.).
I have always assumed the new Saturn Astra was delta-based (but I could certainly be wrong).
These are some of the instances when I miss being in Milford. :(

This is an indirect quote from thegriffen, and from quite a while ago so it could be wrong.

I thought that there were differences in the two, but they were simlar. They both use that twist beem axle in the rear and have a very similar MPS front end. Im not sure of the actual front and rear subframes.

The Astra IS on the Delta platform , its where the chassis for the ION and Cobalt came from . The subtle differences between them though , even between the cobalt and Ion .
