Anyone go to the NASCAR races and see the movie camaro?

A fella posted a pic of the movie camaro at what looked like the Daytona 500 on diplay in a GM tent it looked like.
Was wondering what if any info was on these car or cars making the rounds?

According to Scott S thats just a GTO with a concept skin and shell and most of the interior.

Yea Graham I know what the car is. A reskinned GTO. Heck Hot rod had a write up about it. but then why would Chevy have it at a huge sporting event. If you look at the background you can see its a NASCAR event and Chevy logo on the tent with a hood of a HHR behind the group of people. with an Impala in the background??

hood lines up?? ehh its not that bad. and who knows how this car was used?? could be a problem caused in the movie.

Is this going to be on display at all the NASCAR races, or just the Daytona 500?

I would guess its at ever race. If anyone is at the race this weekend find out??

I would love to see this car doing some major burn outs. . . Even thought it is a GTO underneath

I was at the race on Sunday in California, and I did not see anything that resembled a Camaro at the Chevrolet display. Somewhat disappointed actually, I was hoping maybe Chevrolet would be smart enough to display the Camaro at the NASCAR races. Seems like a huge market they could attract by just showing the one of the movie Camaros or the red Camaro.

I was at Daytona and got a few crappy pics with my camcorder, but nothing we haven't seen before. Those huge hub caps looked funny.

Was it mentioned anywhere aboutthe movie?? or was it just on display??

Too bad Saleen isn't selling kitcar Camaros huh? A GTO interior would suit me just fine!

ONe - it is not a duplicate of the concept Camaro. (it is GTO based) -- second, the two vehicles were built rather quickly for the movie -- and driven extensively.


They will make many appearances -- but as one of you pointed out -- fit and finish is somewhat lacking....and that isn't a good thing.

I personally dont care to much for the paint and finish dont get me wrong it makes it look alot better but i am just wanting to see ONE. I am tired of looking at pics of them, everybody says they are alot better in real life. because my down payment on one is looking to go toward to my 67 to finish it up.

thats what I am wondering. I'm not sure but its been around some shows 2 times now, the red and silver cars. Now you got the orange convertible and you also have 2 movie cars.
so 5 cars and not one has been to the Boston area.

correct me if I am wrong but I dont remember anyone in New England saying they seen in around here.
