true it doesnt make it a True RS but it will make it a clone... i am making an SS Clone from my Z28 but i will never call her just an SS because she wasnt born that way she is a Z28.

So does that mean a RS is a body kit and VIN number? Then what's so special about it? At least a SS has more than just a body kit different from the Z28.

The RS is mainly an appearance package, and for arguments sake, so is the SS. The SS mainly received appearance upgrades over the z28 but they both had the same engine. Some could argue that the ram air and different exhaust setup tipped the scales in the SS's favor, but in all reality, they ran similar dyno numbers and track times.

The 96 SS had an LT1 305 HP the hood a functioning forced induction, restyled rear deck lid and zr1 wheels. The RS for 96 only had front and rear facias, ground effects kits and 3 piece rear spoiler, other wise it was a base coupe with the l36 V6 200 hp engine.

not all v6's didnt come with salad shooters so that is a upgraded wheel also...wow the SS came with a hood and a spoiler and wheels...so there we go same freakin options...performance on the SS was hardly noticlbe and was more known for the appearnce differences anyways...
