I noticed my hatch cable

had came out and i have no clue where it goes... i was under there looking and i just don't see... this would be under the dash beside the steering column...

can someone please help me?

are you talking about the yellow button near where the hood release is? that is a common thing to come out if someone is taking out the knee bolster and isnt paying attention.

no, not the button... i have a cable pulled out, it looks similar to a throttle cable... it has a white plastic piece on the end...
when i pull on it i hear a click in the back (somewhere)...
i assume it is the hatch release cable (i dunno, could be wrong)...

You must be talking about the BTSI cable that connects from the ignition switch to the shifter. There is no hatch cable.

Sometimes I mix things up :D -it's actually the park/lock cable-not the BTSI.
It goes from the ignition switch, down along the floor and arcs around on top of the transmission tunnel to the shifter.

Pop off the shift quadrant cover on the console and you will see it.
