They are showing a the new Camaro in a wind tunnel on Discovery's Future car!!!

It looked like the front is fairly aerodynamic too.

Looked pretty good, also noticed some sketches of different cars behind the people speaking.

Yes I definitely saw that - amazing...I kept watching it over and over again (I love DVR) - I liked the rear shot...

Later on was there a glimpse of the silver coupe on a poster in the background? I was going to rewind but ended up forgetting to...but I swear I saw something.

Well I can say from watching the Future Car part II "The Body" that they interviewed a lot of GM designers, including Tom Peters the man behind the C6 and our beloved Camaro Concept. One interesting glimpse I saw was when they had a GM designer talking about the internship designer program and he had a large screen behind him. It was a blue coupe type car with SS on it. Later on a different person was being spoken to and behind him was a very clear screen with what looked like the concpet Camaro in green with a different nose.

Also one other tid bit if as many of us saw the Camaro concpet (Red) was in the wind tunnel. All I can say is they wouldn't waste time and money on the concept car in the tunnel if that exterior wasn't very close to production. Not like we didn't know the exterior was going to follow the concept but when you see it in the tunnel thats a for sure sign.

That was this morning at 12, if it was tonight at 12 it would be 2/16. But I still thank you for pointing it out.

Comcast is the devil... i am sure of it. I have them and hate them, but I am in an apartment so I have to tolerate them.

It depends on the DVR in question. The ones Comcast uses that are produced by Motorola suck! The ones made by Scientific Atlantica that other cable companies use are good... However, I don't think any of them have as nice of a user interface as TiVo....

I know, I was just bull****tin him. And not just Comcast offers DVR, I have Time Warner cable and they suck also. I hate all cable companies, they are greaty *******s! My recent statement I opened today was $144.10. :shock: I have been just having the bill drafted out of my acct every month, so I finally decided to see how much I am paying, about **** my pants. I have two DVR's no movie channels, just regular digital cable, and I pay almost a $150 a month, wtf? I am so sick of cable going up every year, somone has to stop this ****.

$65-$70 total a month for essentially the same thing you have minus one Tivo unit ($6 a month), but plus 2 receivers ($5 a month each).

Granted you DO have to purchase your equipment from DirecTV, while you rent them from cable companies. But my Tivo only cost me $50 after the rebate (free if you get it when you sign up initially I think). And the receivers and dish are free with a 2 year contract when you sign up.

Upgrading to HD in a couple years will most likely make a bit of a dent in my pocket up front though.

I dropped cable due to crazy rasing prices. In 4 years I went from $30 a month to $50+. $5 a year. In 3 years my DirecTV has only gone up around $6.

Not currently available in my area. BUT I do like Verizon and would be willing to give them a try sometime if DirecTV peeves me off.

VerizonWireless is the best Cell Phone service hands down. (Disclaimer- IMO that is.)

Hey Jason, you missed the artwork on the wall that they showed a bit later in the episode I think. One piece in particular showed the rear-end of the Camaro in a bright blue metallic teal color. It looked like the bright blue GM showed off at their fashion event. :thumb: I'm very excited about that color.

I believe there was a huge drawing of the Camaro's rear end painted in the same color as the bright blue that was showcased at the fashion event. It should be in that episode of Future Car.

I want to know what that green car is on the wall as well.

There is a Future Car marathon (all 4 episodes) on saturday at noon (I'm guessing EST) I say it advertised last night while watching discovery.

Of course it starts at noon, I don't get off work until 2:mad:

With 100% Ethanol being higher octane than gas AND cheaper, that sounds pretty cool for sports cars. I didn't know top-fuel dragsters used it as fuel. Sounds like a good plan. :)

The compressed air car was an interesting system as well... honestly, the entire episode was pretty interesting.

I didn't know ethanol was cheaper, E85 was more expensive than the regular 90/10 mix, at least in the spring it was. You don't get as good of mileage with ethanol either.

I don't really know honestly, I'm just going on what the show said. I'm not an environmentalist, so I haven't been following any of the alternative fuel news. But if it is indeed cheaper for the 100% mix and it has more octane I have no problem with putting "corn liquor" in my car. Heck, if it's true what they said, that you can convert your current car to run on it for about $100, I wouldn't mind converting all of my cars. :thumb:

If I remember right, it takes more energy to make ethanol than gasoline, so there is more pollution from that standpoint, but I can't recall whether there is more pollution coming out of the exhaust or not. And to convert your car to run on E85, you have to change the computer, fuel lines, etc. and I thought it was closer to > $1000

But that research I'm drawing from was what I did last spring for a speech in speech class, so things could have changed.

If I were to imagine a Holden Monaro done on the Camaro's top hat (upper structure), it would look a lot like that green car.
