Would this head unit work for an amp'd component set?

I'm selling my vehicle and I currently have a 4-500$ P960MP in it that I really don't want to give up. I don't have subs in it, but I do have an amplified set of components in the rear. Will this headunit work? It says it has amp preout plugs which I assume are the RCA Red and White cables that plug in the back, and allow the head unit to control the amp? Will this work, or will I need something different? Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't own a Pioneer (especially a low end unit like this) if you gave it to me. I've been involved with car stereo for 30+ years now and in that time Pioneer has had the worst quality issues of any brand I've dealt with. I would recommend a low end Alpine or Kenwood unit over anything from Pioneer.

Now all you Pioneer (not Premier) owners out there can start belly aching all you want about how great you think your Pioneer HU is. I'm going on MY own personal past experience with the company and it has always been bad.

It will work, but it has only 1 pair of pre-amp outputs, so you won't have an convenience of adjusing front/rear/sub outputs independently and from headunit. You still can adjust them with screwdriver (gains on amp(s)) and have some sort of remote for bass though.

As long as it'll power them I'll be alright. The person buying it already said he doesn't care and doesn't plan on putting any subs in.
