Getting ready to do another performance project on the Z. Going to need a custom stall and need opinons on different brands. Leaning towards Fuddle Racing but have heard from a builder that they have had hard times reaching high rwhp numbers with their converters. Thanks for your help!

Yank and Vigilante are regarded as being two of the best on the market but you will pay more for them versus the Fuddle converters.

Many good companies out there. Many that are not well known build great stuff too,.
Vigilante, Yank, Edge, pro torque are a few of the popular interent guys.
I use a local shop that hand builds them to my needs.

Vigilante for anything up to 3200, Yank for anything higher than that.

I am going with a Yank PT4000 for my new setup, and have a Vigilante 3200 available for sale if interested.

Is there a big difference in driveability from the Yank, Vigilante vs. those from vendors like TCI? Or is the difference mostly in strength/longevity? I've thought about getting a converter for awhile but wasn't sure if a cheaper one would meet my daily driver needs, and can't justify the $ for a good one just yet.

There are companies out there that make good inexpensive 12 inch converters. The place I use hand builds them and is priced slightly cheaper than a TCI or B&M. The 9.5 inch converters are the better, more efficient, more expensive options.
I would suggest buying from a converter shop over the TCI or B&M stuff.
Your money is better spent. Just my opinion.

I like my Vigilante. I've had 3 and they all performed as needed. The 2 year warranty and free restall period is nice too. Great customer service.

Yank, I've heard they are good, but get your check book out. They wanted twice what a Vigilante cost to make me a converter.

Fuddle, I wouldnt deal with those guys EVER.

Edge is on my list as a budget converter, a few of my friends run with with good results.

If your wondering how Vigilante compares to TCI, ask Vicki she'll give you the scoop.

Yeah I went with an Edge for the free t-shirt too. LOL, just kiddng, the customer service is above and beyond and fast to respond. Had Andre build me a custom one based on car, mods, and driving needs. Great guy to work with.
