3.73 Installation Checklist.

Alright I'm installing some 3.73s here pretty soon and I'm about to order my installation supplies.

Currently all I have is a Torq Line 3.73 Ring/Pinion, they are Brand New.

lloks good....not sure what install kit that is....you may want to put in some axle seals, maybe bearings if they are bad.....a tip....what i do when setting up one is take an old pinion bearing and grind the inside a little so you don't have to press it on and off when checking shims make sure to check it with making compound too....it will handle alot more if it is set up right

FWIW, My rear end is whining currently due to the pinion nut I believe. Hell it could be just low on fluid but I got a decent deal on some 3.73s so I'm just tearing it apart and rebuilding it. :o

Are you installing it yourself? If not, Summit has install kits for >$200. Of couse, fluids will be extra from whoever installs them.
A friend with a '97 SS M6 who installed 4.10s will be doing it. He's a GM Technician.

When I installed my 3:73s I used a solid pinion spacer kit from Summit, complete with shims. I am no GM tech and this was my first rear install so just in case I did happen to over torque the pinion nut I didn't have to go out a buy a new crush sleeve but I'm sure you will be fine.
