WTB small parts ANyone parting a car or have these small parts?
I need a cross brace(or whatever it is called). It is the brace that goes accross the tranny tunnel under the drive shaft, torque arm and exhaust pipe. I have a convertible and the stock one will not fit with my new exhaust. I need one from a hard top or t-top car.
I also need the plastic thingy that says this is not a jack point under the fender behind the front tire for the drivers side
I need the plastic fuel line from the sending unit to the fuel filter. We kinda kinked it Saturday trying to get it out of the way to weld in SFCs.
Thanks in advance

john, i don't think the convertible's have the black jack thingy. they have the sheet metal OEM SFC in that area, and the plastic jack thing won't fit. i just hit the front Subframe box with my floor jack.
you can bend the crap out of that tunnel brace. I bent the one on our V6 all to crap to put a 3 inch I-pipe on it. finally threw it away. could not tell without it. prolly could on a 'vert, though.
BMR makes some nice ones, not sure about clearance, though
hth?

I had heard that there was some sort of convertible SFC from the factory too but the only thing I am finding differant under there is the cross brace I mentioned. It not only goes accross but up to the tranny crossmember. My exhaust comes down on both sides of my tranny and then accross so bending it is not an option. I could sawzall off the extra material but I want to keep it in case I ever need the origional back.
I welded on some triangular stock steel as sub frame connectors and have left the cross brace off. I really did not notice any differance without the brace, I just wanted anything I could get under there to stiffen it up. I dont want this car to turn into the rattle trap that my TA was when I got it. Of course that car had been wrecked so who knows.
Thanks for the info. I may look at some local salvage yards for the parts. I cant beleive they sell many of any of these parts so they should be pretty abundant.
Thanks again
