Both will blow the dual out of the water, please save the extra 100 dollars for a nicer piece

I've had good luck w/ Panasonic so far! DEH-P6400 for 6 years... THat's pretty darn good. WHat about the depth on that? My DEH-P barley fits as afar as depth.

I dont know the depths off hand but Ill try and find em. Thres no reason that the clarion shouldnt fit I put it in a C5 vette a few weeks ago and we didnt have any problem getting it in the dash

The dual is not that bad. While I agree the Clarion is a better unit, but 100 times better. I don't know about that. I have sold tons of the dual and Jensen pieces with no failures. Features wise all three are identical. The Jensen and Dual even come with Ipod and Xm interfaces in most cases. With Clarion you have to puchase extra cable for Ipod and XM interface is on infinite backorder. This is in no way a sales pitch for any of the above products. I sell them all and have no complaints about any.

I have this dual unit and i have had no problems thus far. ive always had clarion units, but I got this one and am happy with it for the price (if you know someone at best buy they can get it half off - mine 350$). Display is nice and i am getting ready to hook my xbox and a reverse camera to it. clarion is always good, but i like my dual.

How much more difficult is it to install one of these than say... a regular aftermarket cd player?

^ good question. I think the RCA jacks on my Pioneer are shot. I'm about to buy a Dual DVD player for the car.

it says 200W.. I suppose I shouldn't worry about it since I will be doing a 800x4 amp for the front and sail panel speakers.

its not any more difficult. it just has more rca jacks - several audio sets for amps and subs, 3 for video. really easy to install. i had no problems just took my time and its nice and clean. i do enjoy it.

i also have the factory park brake disable codes if you want them *warning* - illeagal while driving! :D

Warranty is the key, failure rate is very high...

The specs between these two.......Secondary display would be nice for driving at night w/ having a 7" screen blinding you...

personally with my experience with screens, you get what you pay for. You go cheap you more then likly will not be to happy. Just save up and buy a good unit like pioneer,eclipse,alpine, or even kenwood. JMO

why dont you just build yourself a carpc?
lots of info to be found on the net, specifically mp3car.com.
i have one in my camaro, and the 7" widescreen lcd touchscreen fits wonderfully in the dash, and i installed the pc itself where the spare tire used to be.
if you want pics, i will try to snap some for ya..
