Have questions about Long tube install & extra maintence ?

ok i plan on a major project here so i want to do alot will iam in there doing a pacesetter LT install . What else have other peaple done witll they did there LT install ? I plan on doing the folowing and have some questions also .


1. Pacesetter longtube coated race version and ORY . ( Of course )

2. Taylor park Plug Wires, Spiro-Pro, 8mm, Red factory route .

3. NGK tr55

4. 3' inch Summit Cutout (Question I Want to put this where my cat would have been .But i still have my factory stock exhaust pipe cat back . What size is it ? 3 inch or 2.75 ?how will i connect up my exhaust ? i just had a flowmaster muffler installed only )

5. MSD Ignition Coil, Blaster Performance Replacement (replace my oringanl one )

6. LT4 knock module

7. (Prothane Motion Control) Motor Mounts, Steel/Polyurethane, Zinc/Black with brakets (will these just bolt up ? how hard is it to replace the motor mounts ? )


anything else i should do ? will iam in there ? Thanks

motor mounts are not too difficult. hardest part is gettig them out...which is 100x easier with the manifolds off.

the stock piping is 2.75"

i think your best bet for the cutout is to install a piece of 3" straight pipe behind the Ypipe (which should have a 3" collector) and run it back to the space under the rear seat. install the cutout there. and then run the rest of the stock exhaust pipe over the axle like you have.

that spot under the rear seat is the best place for the cutout since it gives you the best clearance. and with the 3" pipe from the ypipe to the cutout you take full advantage of the larger pipe.

You're list looks good, plugs, wires,and motor mounts are all things I would do when putting in headers.

good idea i will do that but , how should i put the cutout ? any pics ?

The common spot is in the i-pipe right before the rear axle dump.
