Hi,
Is anybody running a Hooker Aerochamber muffler on their standard cat-back system. If so, does it sound much better than the stock muffler, which in my opinion, is way too quiet.
I'm beginning to get bored with the sound of my stock exhaust and was wondering if just changing the muffler would liven things up or do I need a full cat-back system to release the V8 rumble?
All the best,Mark.

You want a V8 rumble? Go with the Hooker Super-Competition Catback. My car sounds like a damn boat!

Hi,
Thanks for the replies, whatever I decide on I will have to run it with the cat.In the U.K all cars made after 1992 have to run a cat to pass the emissions test.
I see Jegs is selling the Hooker cat-back for $285.99,this cat-back uses the Aero chamber muffler I previously mentioned,or the aero chamber muffler can be purchased seperately for $79.99.
I realise that fitting the full system would release more power, but would I get the same difference in sound just by fitting the direct replacement muffler?

yea just replacing the muffler would change the sound but it wouldnt be as good as a whole system
