1996 Z28 383 w/LE2 heads $5500

Well, I've spent a lot of money on my car and can't drive it. I'm getting tired of messing with it, but will pull the engine once again if no one is interested. Something went wrong with my new 383. I think I had too much fuel going to the engine which may have washed down the cylinder walls and didn't allow the rings to seat. The machine shop suggested trying to drive it a little to see if it got better. So, I tried and now it doesn't want to run hardly at all and just started knocking pretty loud. I'd say the cylinder walls probably need to be honed and possibly new bearings once again. Wouldn't take much money, just the time. This setup has less than 15 miles on it plus some running time trying to get the rings to seat. The pistons are forged Mahle -5cc valve relief flat tops with 6" rods. Intake was ported by Lloyd at the same time as the heads. The body is very straight on this car. Nose cone has some stress cracks in the paint, but you can't tell unless you're right up on it. I believe the car has about 110,000 miles on it. It has a dual gauge pillar with a manual oil pressure gauge and an AeroForce Interceptor scan gauge. Also has LS1 front brakes with new pads and rotors. Milodon oil pan. The 18" ZO6 rims and tires only have about 10,000 miles. Look at the sig for other mods and parts. I'm sure there is more that's not listed, just can't think of them right now. Think about the parts on this car along with the fact it has a straight body and a 6 speed transmission. This is a deal. Oh yeah, the car is red with t-tops.

$5500 or with salad shooters instead of the ZO6's, $4700. If I don't get that, I will just fix it again. I don't have any pics right now, but I'll try to get some soon. Car is currently in Bowling Green, KY.

Thanks to those who were interested. Sorry, but the car is now sold. Sad to see it go.
