(LT1) MAC mids and oil cooler

Yes, there are lots of threads about MAC mids, but I can't find any that talk about interference with the stock oil cooler.

Has anybody run into this problem? I am mocking up everything on my engine stand and I already have made some O2 extensions for these pipes. How do I get around the cooler pipe interference? Just don't use it?

Looks like even if I don't use the cooler, it's just going to defeat the purpose of the cooler anyway, because it is so close to the coolant pipes.

Comments, thoughts?
Thanks

Never had a problem with the piping on the 95s I worked on. You can also just remove the oil cooler too. They can get clogged up with engine assembly lube and can starve your motor of oil.

I had Mac mid lengths and the oil cooler on my 94. No problems...

Well, now that I actually had time to bolt the cooler and pipes on, I see that there is no interference. But, the exhaust flange is close to the pipes. Hopefully, I'll be bolting the engine back in the car this Saturday.

I would just ditch the cooler like a few others have mentioned. It'll help get the oil filter farther away from the header and some people gain oil pressure out of the deal too. I'm glad i removed mine. It made it so much easier when i replaced my oil pan gasket on my Z.
