Well, I realize by admitting this that I could very possibly be flamed into ash and become the laughing stock of C28.com but I really like it...I like the outside, I like the inside, and I like the specs they are giving for it...As long as it isn't too heavy I wouldn't hesitate to consider one for a new car in a couple years...I can't wait to see what the guys at STI come up with :)
All the real interesting stuff is here: http://forums.evolutionm.net/forumdisplay.php?f=113

It looks rather nice in person: Lancer Prototype X live shots (http://www.autoblog.com/2007/01/08/detroit-auto-show-mitsubishi-prototype-x-concept/)
I'm very curious to see where the 4B11's power numbers end up.
The aggressive Darth Vader front end doesn't seem to mesh with the rest of the Acura Integra generic body. But at least it's trying to make a statement. Personally I've never been a fan of Mitsubishi and I'm not sure I'd want one of these overly complicated little rockets.
I like it. With a higher and wider powerband, it should be an easy low 12 second car. Probably not going to see big numbers out of it for a while untill the aftermarket figures out the new engine. I would guess mid to upper 300hp once they figure out how to work with the new ECU and raise boost.
It comes with cruise control now:D

It doesn't look like a well thought out body design. I cant believe this would appeal to anyone who doesnt like rice. It really looks like there design team went online and purchased a bunch of body kits and slapped them on the car. The interior is nice looking though.

I don't like the frontend too much.. I'm sure it won't matter much once behind the wheel of it though.

Slightly off topic, but I got some pretty bad personal perceptions about Mitsu's quality and support.... Are they unjustified now?

I think Mitsu gets a bad rap because of the cars it makes. No one else has the balls to make a 300hp car with AWD and a stick shift and sell it to 20 year olds. Thats just a bad combination anyway you look at it. Same goes for the older eclipses. Its just really easy to beat on a Mitsu and then cry foul when you break it, even if you were doing something stupid. I think most service centers are more than willing to fix them, but when a kid comes in with all sorts of mods, any manufacture would tell you your out of luck.
Keep it stock or close to stock and you get a 100K mile warranty. They fixed a bad synchro on mine at 40,000 miles no questions asked. They even swaped out the clutch for free while they were in there with an aftermarket one I had picked up. Thats the only problem I had with mine in the three years I had it and it was modded from day one.

I like the looks of that picture but I thought I saw the production version and it was less radical. Maybe it was the stadard Lancer???

I had a few friends in high school who wanted newer cars and went with Mitsubishis, they have been regretting it ever since. I've seen nothing but problems with them, although nothing like a Kai or Hyundai.

I wouldn't give somebody the dew off of my teabag for any mitsubishi that has been or ever will be made no matter how good they ever will be. Rot in hell crapsibishi!
