Will Firebird seats with power lumbar bolt into my car?

My car has manual seats. I'm buying a set of seats from a 1997 Trans Am. They have manual racks, but power lumbar support. I know the wiring for power racks is under my carpet, but will there be a connector for the lumbar support as well? 1997 Camaro, BTW.

It's a direct bolt in. As far as the wiring, I couldn't say. It can't be that difficult, though.

I think it is just power and ground under the carpet...everything else is in the seats
so you should be fine

I saw this post when looking to see if anyone had a similar experience with installing firebird seats into a camaro: I just put 2000 Firebird seats (along with it's newer nice clean carpet,rear seats, and headliner) in my 1995 camaro this past weekend.

Oddly enough, both front seats seem to be a tiny bit more toward the driver's side of the car. When I shut the driver's door it just touches the seat bolster and makes it tough to use the power controls with the door closed. There is therefore also a bit more room between the center console and driver's seat. The passenger's seat did fit in perfectly with the camaro center console.

I can't help you much with the lumbar wiring as I reused my camaro power seat rail and there was only the one 12v/gnd power connector in my z28 under the driver's seat which gets split out to the power seat motors. There is no power run to under the passenger seat in my car.

FYI: I think the firebird seats are much more comfortable than the camaro ones were.

Thanks, that's good to know about the seats being slightly offset. As long as it isn't too bad, it doesn't bother me. I agree about the comfort, they seem to be much better padded.

You'll need the TA/Firebird seat wiring harness and air line to make the seats function. If you get this harness it'll plug right into your plug for your old power seats. My drivers side TA seat sits to close to the console and rubs it with the bolster. I know the holes in the seat tracks are slotted but they're not that slotted.

How about a salvage yard? dealer? or Ebay? Am i just supposed to produce one for you?
