Re-Pinning 9354896 pcm

hope some one can help. i have a '99 gmc p\u nbs 5.3L. same pcm as a f-body.
a couple years back i put an electric fan on it off an '02 crown vic, worked out good it looks like the general put it there. i recently got an obd2 tuner and now want to make the pcm control the fan instead of the temp switch.
i went to the dealer and got some pins and made up the wires one to c-1#42
and one to c-2#33
i started on the c-1 blue connector, to remove it from the metal housing the center bolt must come out. the steel clip holding the bolt in is dealing me fits.
i tried prying it up then tring to split it with some real small needle nose and some small dykes. no luck- i've bent it up pretty good but have not been able to split it.:confused:

ok i got them off. there has to be a better way, about 2 and a half hours. now i can put it back together and regroup. seems i was wrong in looking at the pin out. the pin on c-2 is used for the hvac blend door, so that won't work.
although '99 up f-bodies and '99 - '02 trucks use the same pcm the operating systems are differnt and the system cal.
the definition file for the truck supports the fans the question is out of the 30 unused pins on the two connectors which ones would control the fan?
anyone know of a source of this information?

any way i just got back from the salvage yard with two sets of ecm plugs.
i found the easy way to get those clips off it's so simple i feel kinda dumb today. pry up the clip on one side as far you can get it, then push it back down. repeat this 3 or 4 times and it breaks right off. 5minutes tops.
now i have enough stuff to build a bench top harness.
