Lets start with info. Its a 1994 Firebird Formula. Im getting it ready for a life of straight line performance.
I am trying to find places to remove stuff and find lighter than stock pieces for the car. Here is my plan.
Tubular K-Member and coil over kit with control arms. (Anyone know a good manufacturer?)
Ram air hood or cowl induction hood. (Who makes the lightest high quality hood around?)
Remove all seats and replace with a Sparco driver seat and 5 way harness.
Remove all unnecessary bumper supports and such things as that. (Has anyone removed this stuff? If you have do you have a list of things that are safe to remove without taking away from the rigidity of the frame?)
Weld drag rims... not sure if I want the drag lites or the pro stars.
Replace steering wheel with a Grant wheel. (I cant stand the stereo controls on here without them working on my aftermarket radio.)
If you have any suggestions on what else I can remove to get this car as light as possible without hurting its structural integrity then Im open to suggestions. Thanks!
