I have been wanting to drop the power steering for a long time. I have tried to find more info on the pinto style steering rack, as the cost is much less than madmans rack.

I'm curious if anyone has compared the two setups, and if so, what kind of differences would I be looking at in turning between the two. It would also be nice to know how much harder it would be than with power steering.

I run Madmans kit, the price may seem high, but once you get into buying a Pinto rack, building a steering shaft, buying tie rod ends and a bumpsteer kit, well I just think your better off with Brian's stuff. JMO

What's the link on Madmans kit and is it safe for daily driving with ZR-1's?

I had manual steering on my Mustang and my RX-7 and I actually prefer it to power steering.

Have you ever driven a car with one of these racks? I am expecting it to be much harder than power steering at a stop, but how much better is it than the stock rack with the car off?

Is it safe for daily driving, or is this just a "race only" kind of deal.

I remember someone saying this broke on their DD, but I dunno if that was this kit or not.
