I just got rid of the 6 speed and went auto and Ive got a B&M Pro Stick shifter that Im wanting to install. I was curious whats all gotta be done to install it. Basically I just need to cover up the hole where the 6spd shifter came through the floor and then make a mounting plate the mount the shifter to that sits it up a the right height that I want. Anyone got any pics of there plates they made?

I cut the original shifter mounting plate from the floor...just leaving enough to bolt the new flat plate to. The sheet steel plate you see in the last picture was cut to a size that allowed it to mount the shifter. I welded 2 bolts im the rear to mount the shifter to, and bolted it through an existing hole in the front.
After I fabbed a plate, I fiberglassed the tunnel to make it more rounded, as the stock tunnel has many complex curves.
I started with new ACC carpet that had the cut-out for the console. I bought matching "extra yardage" and made my own piece to cover the tunnel...Using carpet glue and a heat gun.
I also made up my own nitrous switch panel, using aluminum sheet, and riveting it to the B&M cover.

Frank thats an awesome setup.. Is that in your car? Thats the look that Im going for. What did you mount the shifter to? Did you make a plate or what? I had the 6 spd in my car so I gotta make a plate. Also I called you like 2wks ago about looking at that th350 that was already built but I wanted you to build it a little more extreme remember? You about ready?

Hey the new pics you tried to post up didn't work. Got a link where I Can check them out? I had an orignal M6 car so I dont have the orignal plate to cut off. Guess Ill just have to fab something up from scratch?

In my thirdgen, I mounted it on top of a 2" thick piece of lexan. It sits in the stock center console at stock height. Same as a fourth gen as far as I know

I made a mount out of 16 guage steel and mounted it to the stock holes for the stock shifter, I then mounted the Pro Stick to the plate. Worked out great. I did not use the stock console. I used the cover that came with the shifter.
