difference in rearends...

im wanting to know if there is any difference in the rearend housings between a V6 4th gen and a V8 4th gen. like, if i wanted to build up a 10 bolt, if i could grab a V6 rearend for real cheap it wouldnt matter since id replace the axles, differential, gears, bearings. i dont have TCS, so do i still need ot look for a 3 channel non tcs housing?
