How much would it cost for the dealership to do a pinion seal repair? How much for somewhere else to do it? I know its possible to do yourself, however, I have never done anything rear end related so I have no experience in that area.

The dealership charged me a few hundred dollars to do the repair. I cant remember the exact figure (this was 4+ years ago) but it was a lot and a complete rip-off. If you HAVE to, go to a reputable shop. I'd imagine prices anywhere else would easily be less than a dealership of any sort.

i charge 1 hours labor, pinion seal, depending on the mileage i would recommend replacing the diff fluid so add another 1/2 hour and two quarts of fully synthetic fluid. cheapest $70. most expensive $125. dealerships around here is $200 for the cheapest

you probly have a grooved flange or the pinion bearings are bad,, a pinion seal can be done without tearing down the complete rear end but extreme care must be taken to get the pinion bearing pre-load back to where it was, if your pinion seal has been replaced that many times i would bet that the pinion bearing pre-load is not correct now and the pinion crush sleeve is crushed more than it should be putting strain on the bearings and wearing out your seal
