Arrow Want to replace Pos/Neg Wires on Battery

I would like to replace my battery wires. At the store they didnt really have a reference book for looking up what works for what cars(aftermarket stuff).

What do I look for when going about selecting a replacement positive and negative cable? Some "looked" like they would fit but I have no idea what the length, guage, bolt types etc are. I'm also pretty wire dumb

Anyone able to educate me on what I should look for?

Any auto parts should have stock replacements. They in turn should have the lenth on the box. Also most new cars have extra small wires attched to the bat. ends, check yours. Depending on there you get them, you may only be able to get what size they have usually #1 or #0. If you have a choice always go with the larger size. FYI wire gage get bigger as the number get smaller. #1 is large gage then #2.

My recommendation would be to remove them then jump on your bicycle and pedal on over to the nearest alternator/starter specialist. They can custom make them for you. That's what I did for my 18-wheeler--except I drove there in my car instead of stealing a bike.
