Front turn signal repeatedly failing

My front right turn signal burnt out, so I replaced it with a new one. 2 days later, that one stopped working as well. Upon inspecting it, it appears that some moisture has found a way into the casing (beneath the orange light shield). Anyone know how to prevent this so when I go to replace it again, it doesn't stop working in 2 days? Vaseline around the seal before plugging the light back in? Thanks

Make shure to check the O-ring on the socket its self that is what blocks moisture from entering!
