I'm checking "Remember me" every time I log on. But still, every time my connection hiccups, it re-sets ALL of the cookies on this site. This makes it harder for me to find the threads that I've not yet looked at since it shows that I've already looked at them all.
Is there anything else I can do? This is very frustrating and, indeed has frustrated me so much that today I'm just logging off after posting this. I would hate to miss anything, but I will--at least today.

What do you mean "connection hiccups"?
Cookies are stored in your browser not here on the site. The site only reads the cookies stored in your browser and displays things according to that, so it is is most likely a browser issue.
First, clear ALL cookies from your browser.
Second, if the problem persists try a different browser and see if you have the same problem.
In addition, make sure you have no anti-virus or anti-spyware program that is blocking the use of your cookies.
Good luck!

Thanks, Jason. I was figgering it was your site since yours is the only one where this happens. It acts as though I had signed out then signed back in.
It seems to happen more often when I'm in a broadband area using my Verizon air card or when on mom's computer with slow-ass People PC dial up connection. Also, it seems to happen when I get called away for 5 or 10 minutes. When I come back to my computer, next time I click something, it clears all the cookies.
When I say "hiccup", what I mean is that sometimes my "access manager" shows me to be "dormant" when I'm not. So I thing it's in-between shooting packets or something. That's another time it seems like I get re-set.
I am using IE6 and don't have access to any other browser.

How do you not have access to another browser? Just download Firefox.

Okay. I got Firefox and have now used it for a few days. I do, indeed, like it better than Internet Explorer.
However, it has not solved my cookie re-setting problem on this site. It's only this site. And since I don't know much about computers, I don't have a clue as to what is going on.
I do know that there are 2 other sites I go to that have "issues" with Java. Does this sound like a Java problem?

I think you are thinking of Javascript, which is different from Java. We do not use Java on this site. Still, it definitely sounds like a cookie problem, and since you have tried two different browsers, the next step would be to try a different computer completely.
Still since it is happening only with you, I cannot say that it is a problem with the site and at this point, if it is something we can do anything about.
Just to clarify, you are definitely checking the "remember me" box and you are not using any sort of anti-spyware of anti-virus program, correct?

Windows XP SP2 also has an internal firewall you might want to try disabling in control panel. Does all your history get deleted automatically as well?
