Decked SBC .025 = ? Shim for Dist.?

I had my 350 block decked by .025" to place the pistons right at .005" from the top. Question now is, how thick of a shim do I need for my distributor? I had seen an article in one of my magazines that gave recommendations, based on the amount the block was decked, but I can't find it. Anyone have a website, or info to share, so I can figure out what shim I need? TIA guys. :cool:

On oem assembly there is plenty ( .060-.080 ) of freeplay in the dist. assy. when installed. Check it. A good chance no modification will be necessary.

Hmm, I had my distributor installed and noticed it sat no more than .050" off the intake manifold. I think I will place a spacer under there, just enough to unseat it from the oil pump driveshaft. BTW, the block is a 207 block with Holley aluminum heads and intake (soon to be TPI). I just need to break-in the flat tappets on the cam. :)
